Literary Magazine (4th-12th)
Description
Teacher: Alyssa Sitarik
This class will create Rising Root's first literary arts magazine. The magazine will combine art forms and literature to create a magazine based on a theme. Submissions of works can come from anyone involved in the co-op, but students in the class will have at least one piece included. The students will edit the works and create page spreads to publish. They will also be in charge of all aspects of creation, from publishing, to taking orders and selling the magazine. Students this year will get to create the name of the magazine for years to come!
Supply cost: $30
Supplies needed: Laptop computer with either a Windows or Mac operating system, at least 4GB ram, and 4GB hard drive space and a 64 bit operating system if windows.
Prerequisites: Basic computer skills
