Hi, I’m Michelle. Once upon a time, in another life (or, er, 8ish years ago), I worked as an engineer. I have a BS from Lehigh in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Science. But because I feel like that information alone is misleading, I feel obliged to mention that I also took theatre classes every year and a writing intensive English course my senior year “just for fun.”
But that was all a long time ago! In this wonderful life right now, I’m homeschooling (as we all are)! I’ve been home with my daughter since she was born (about 8 years ago). We’ve homeschooled all along, and we’re going into our third year at Rising Roots. We love to hike, climb, ski, and take notice of nature’s treasures. I find so much joy in reading aloud to her and listening to all her ideas and stories. I’m excited to hear from more young homeschoolers as I step into a teaching role at Rising Roots. I know we’re going to have so much fun together.
